Nicky and Lola
I came to the end of my stay at the Sunnyside Guest House today. Here is Nicky with Lola, one of the two resident cocker spaniels. Today is the first time I saw them during this visit. Lily is the other one: older and slightly wiser, perhaps. Paul, Nicky’s other half, is just out of the shot
If you want to stay in Keswick go no further than Sunnyside. It’s a brilliant place to stay. This was my third time.
I had a good drive to Thorngrafton to have coffee with Kay and Eric. We had a good catch up.
I was just slightly late for the winter warm hub at the village hall. We had pea soup. It was delicious (but very windy later in the day). The Dodgy B’s entertained us. They are 5 male singers from the village and they have come on in leaps and bounds since they first appeared.
Today they were 4/5 because one was still making his way back from London and “that” match. I am told I should watch it because it was so good.
I was home at 2 and vegetated all afternoon.
This evening I had a lovely visit from Margret’s grandson, Sam, who I’ve known since he was about 2 years old. He brought his gorgeous girlfriend, Keira, with him.
They have both lost a father in the last year and we did talk about grief and how it has affected us all. We also talked about travelling. Keira and Sam are well travelled. Sam goes to tennis tournaments with his job as a reporter and Keira has managed to fit in a lot of exciting journeys.
