Erased...
Yesterday, the Sec of Defense announced that the website of the Arlington National Military Cemetery had been purged of all pages referencing the history of soldiers who were: Blacks, Latinos, Native Americans, and women... I mean these are people who gave their lives in service to the country! (all while Dear Leader claimed bone spurs to avoid being drafted into service altogether....)
This is part of a general "clean up" of anything that falls under the DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) programs: government entities, news broadcasters, universities, and even private businesses were asked to remove any references to both programs and people that allude (closely or not even closely) to these topics.
I am more than pissed! Just how fragile are these white men's egos that they must remove the last trace of accomplishments by people who are not white and male??? Some private companies are bucking against these orders (as the government has no implementing influence) and sticking to their guns and to their DEI programs. There are all sorts of boycotts going on towards companies that folded and lots of encouragement to shop at companies that did not. I am happily participating in all of these.
