Common Enchantments

Lake Jocassee

We had a long day today visiting the mountains of South Carolina.

First stop was Devils Fork State Park, home of the beauty, Lake Jocassee and the home of the endangered Oconee Bell flower.

Then a short ride to Station Cove Falls trail where there were burgundy trilliums, bloodroot, violets and a waterfall.

Then another short drive to our favorite trout fishing location. I caught a trout!! We did let it go because it was on the small side.

Good walks and being in the mountains and at the water. Weather was cool but sunny! It is really late tonight but tomorrow I will make a few collages with some of the flowers and the trails.

I will have all day to play with the photos as Jerry has his arm surgery at 1pm. He said using the fishing rod did not seem to bother his bicep…casting is all in the wrist!
Yeah, right!
