A Bad Day.
This morning, we went up to Christian's grave just to make sure it had not been damaged in the storm.
We went to three supermarkets before we found some flowers in Aldi.
So, we had flowers, food for the birds, water and cleaning cloths.
It was only when we got there and saw his vase smashed all over the grave, I realized I'd forgotten to bring another vase.
So, we drove to a local store bought another vase and went back to the cemetery.
Grave was cleaned; birds fed Alexandra filled up the new vase with fresh water, put the yellow roses in it, leant over to put the vase down and it slipped out of her hands, and it smashed all over the grave.
So, we tidied up the glass for a second time and we came home.
I will go back tomorrow with another vase.
In the afternoon I decided I wanted to watch an episode of Lewis, one of my favourite detective serials.
I'd started watching it the night before on TV but it didn't finish until late, and I knew I had it on dvd, so I didn't bother to record it.
When I put the dvd in the player, it wouldn't load, so I tried another player, it still wouldn't work.
I had a look at the disc, and I thought it might need a clean. I did that, still not working.
I asked my husband to look at it, and he said it looks like the printing on the top of the dvd has leeched though to the playing side, and there's nothing I can do.
So, I looked at all the dvds, and out of 11 dvds only one would play. That means, I've lost the whole of series 1 - 5. Series 6 - 9 seem to be okay.
Only problem is you can only buy it as a complete series now.
I'll have to have a think as to what I want to do now.
