Let me out!

This is poor Leela on her way home from the vet this afternoon. She has been losing weight recently, eating frequently but not much at a time and howling a lot during the night. I decided it was time to take her to the vets. My suspicions were correct, the many blood tests carried out confirmed she has atypical hyperthyroidism and will be starting twice daily medication tomorrow which will hopefully make her feel much better. The vet did however warn me that the howling may not stop as she reckons this may be due to a bit of dementia!
