New Gas Boiler

Well, that’s the new gas boiler installed. It took about 5 hours. It’s a condenser boiler and the condensed vapour comes out of the top of the chimney tube under the arc and goes up the back facade and side wall of the stairs. We’re a bit concerned that this will cause damp patches over time. Bb’s onto it with the company and they think they’ve found a satisfactory solution, which will need put into place when we find a mutually suitable time slot. Whether this will cost us extra remains to be seen. Anyway, we now have heating and hot water. As I’m back-blipping this by a day, we know now that the two radiators in our ‘front room’, where Bb works, have stopped working! Thankfully, he can work at our dining table in the patio room until that’s fixed!

Late lunch in Rasoi, then biscuits and cheese and pate at night with Dragons’ Den and The Apprentice.
