Excited

I had to run part of a 40 strong meeting this morning, an "interactive exercise to promote collaboration and networking". That's what it said on my notes anyway, I sold it slightly differently to the people receiving the instructions. It seemed to work, noone left the room in a huff and it wasn't the Enforced Fun that some of these tings are.

After that I had a bit of a conversation about other opportunities with my ally. We agreed that if I wasn't adding value and things would run themselves without me then it was pointless me being on the programme. He's gone away to try - tactfully - and find out the Sponsors view and hopefully have a sensible conversation.  I won't hold my breath but I'm doing the right things. I trust him enough that I know he'll tell me if he thinks I'm being a prima donna.

In the middle of this I heard some fantastic news from a friend which made me very happy. I was, and am, very excited for them.
