Life in Canada

Heavenly

Heaven, actually. My student is in the middle with her two besties. For a child with autism, who is non-communicative verbally (and huge behaviours as a result), it never fails to amaze me how social she is. Teaching others how to accept her for who she is is one of the most difficult part of my job.  Seeing her build friendships (even if the friendship is not typical of most), is the most rewarding.  That, and having her make it through a day without hitting anyone ;)

I adore her. Oh, and she has learned to automatically smile for MissMac's camera.  Bonus!
