Last minute

Strange day - did the morning meeting and left Leanne to organise the meet and greet while I had a 1:1 with new manager. She is a strange one! I can’t even describe the conversation, it was all so ‘bitty’ and I had no idea what she was really saying/telling/asking. She kept saying ‘not right now’ but you’ll need to…… I get that I am a ‘do it now’ sort of person but I came away not sure what I’ll need to be doing other than it involves the wider estate, the wildlife and the stone work and learning!
Half way through Leanne called. I said I needed to take the call, but I have a poor signal in the estate office and ended up telling Leanne I’d sort it later. Apparently a self guiding group were paying for the land train and adventure golf. The teacher put his card in the machine and the whole till system went black and crashed. I’m not sure why the teller then let him do it on not one but two more tills until there were no working tills! Pandemonium at the visitor centre and IT had to go and do a full reset. 
Finished the 1:1 having gleaned not a lot and sorted invoicing the school for train tickets etc. Dealt with a couple of emails and left the rest to Leanne. I had booked the afternoon off.

Lunch with the two Dawns which was nice and got home to find a dozen more emails. I logged back on despite being off and dealt with what I had to. One from the new boss proved she is a better writer than speaker, and I realised that the full page list of things I will be sorting is mostly to do with fund raising and bids. Anything that is funded has to be proven  to be educational, engaging the wider community and all sorts of other PC things! One thing is for sure - more changes afoot!
