Watching you
Today we had an early start as Katy and the girls were here over night - as they are again tonight. Fortunately she wasn't called out overnight so got a good night's sleep. Tonight they are here as she has a clinic in Dumfries tomorrow morning so is setting off at seven. I'll take the girls to school. My main challenge will be dealing with their hair, both of them have waist length fair and Isobel's is particularly thick.
My first job today once I got myself up, was cooking a chicken casserole for Katy and family, it turned out well.
I had a doctor's appointment this afternoon. I'd had lots of blood tests done and was delighted to be given a clean bill of health. I've been playing head under a stone and as I hadn't been called for any check ups I hadn't volunteered myself either. Good to know all is well.
My next stop was coffee with a church friend playing catch up which is always fun. I didn't have long though as I had my charity shop stint this afternoon. I was very pleased to spot a DVD set which I thought might be of interest whileI was sorting and when the manager checked the value I was correct, it sells for around £30.
My blip today is my 50p puffin. I fell for him immediately. , mind you he looks a lot better than the grubby state he was in when I first saw him. I brought him home and gave him a bath. I have a soft spot for puffins!
This evening I wrote my latest church magazine update on what is happening with our vacancy - advert has been sent to the Church Times so the search begins. I also wrote a piece for Colin as we want to fundraise to do a church hall kitchen upgrade...... Not again I said!
