Red Kite

Today has been a lovely day. This morning was spent pottering and reading. I'm thoroughly enjoying my book 'Gone Girl' at the moment. It's such a good story with lots of twists and turns.

I'm not one to give up easily so after our trip to the feeding centre on Tuesday, Sister Flowerpower and I decided to go to a different centre nearby and try to get some shots in focus. Red Kites are so fast. They swoop. They dip. They glide and it's almost impossible to keep up with these birds but I managed to get a few near decent ones. This is the best of the bunch. It's not brilliant, but it captures the speed of them. (Sister Flowerpower got some superb shots and I think if she was on blip her shot would be on the spotlight page. She is not yet on blip, so I'm afraid this one will have to do!)

I think I will get back to photographing landscapes and animals that don't move quite so quickly, perhaps slugs and snails???
