Rústico

Today I walked out of the village of La Higuera up to the Hermitage of La Jeva, about 3 miles climbing into the hills. There are several small farms along the route. Farm buildings are often a mixture of old stone, more modern breeze block and brick, old terracotta tiles and all whitewashed. They can sometimes look slightly off kilter.

Along the way I saw quite a lot of storm and rain damage too, notably trees downed or at stressed angles. The forecast is for more rain well in to the weekend. Quite unusual.
