A walk by the Mere

This morning I went to belly dancing.  I had been asked to donate a picture to the art auction to raise money for S to take his latest play to the Edinburgh Festival details here. I took my contribution (extra photo).  When I handed it over, one of the other ladies wanted to buy it so I said that I would paint her one.

It was a lovely sunny day so I didn't stay for coffee afterwards but went for a walk by the Mere where I took this photo.  The water looks beautiful but I suspect that the green colour in the water is blue green algae as it is often a problem there.

I bumped into a friend and her husband so I joined them on a bench for a chat before going home.

This afternoon I went to Pilates then once home made a batch of aubergine and lentil sauce to eat with pasta.  There will be plenty left over for the freezer too.
