Both the Buzzard and Egret spend most days on or around the paddocks across the river and opposite the garden.   The Buzzard seems to be picking up worms etc and then flying up into an Ash tree before swooping back down again.   
I spent most of the afternoon painting one of the garden benches before it gets put back down near the river bank.   Needless to say Luna dropped her ball which rolled under the bench, before I could stop her she retrieved it and came up with smudges of Cuprinol's Natural Stone on her head and along her back.   Thankfully it washes out easily.    She reminded me of a Dalmatian but in reverse colours.
