Sailing home (Day 3600)
Up and out at stupid o'clock to get the ferry across to Westray for the day.
Today's job was fitting a mains pressure hot water cylinder. Unusually there was no old cylinder to remove and no hot taps to connect the cylinder to. I had the job finished in around four hours, leaving the cylinder full, but with the outlet valved and capped off.
Lunch with R&C used up a bit of the waiting time til the ferry home, as did tidying up the back of the van, but there was a lot of time to kill before the boat at five to six. By the time the boat gets back to Kirkwall I will have been away from the mainland for 12 hours.
I'm looking forward to getting home to my beautiful wife.
