Swans

Back on the birds again.

We made a spur of the moment decision to drive to Stratford to celebrate mrsfb's 10th aneuryversary. 10 years ago she was in ICU, totally oblivious to what was going on. Thank goodness for the NHS.

Anyway, we had a nice lunch and then I had a walk down to the river in search of a blip, while she had a mooch around the shops. I used my fish-eye for the main blip. Birds are animals aren't they, so OK for Wide Wednesday I hope.

As you can see there were lots of swans. I saw the black swan blipped by Technophobe yesterday. I even bumped into Technophobe herself on her way to her hairdresser appointment. The black swan may look calm and elegant but it was pretty aggressive. Just after I got the extra it took off and chased a white swan off. I didn't manage to get shot of them fighting.

The white swans in general were in much more of a make love not peace mood. I nearly but not quite got a classic heart shape of two of them cosying up together. My best attempt is in the second extra.

I said to Techophobe we were going to pop into that coffee lounge favoured by the Stratford blippers, but it was a lovely sunny day so we had an ice cream down by the river instead.
