Snowflakes?

Another warm and beautifully sunny day today. I drove over to Pensthorpe this morning and had a nice mooch around with my camera. There are lots of signs of Spring around, the geese are pairing up, the jackdaw was gathering nesting material (see collage in Extra), the honeysuckle smelt gorgeous, the bees were out and about and the birds were singing heartily and establishing their territory. The flamingos were having a snooze though, so they were mostly hidden behind some bushes, but I did get a photo which is also in the collage. Did you know that flamingos can stand on one leg for up to four hours to sleep? I think this lovely tall flower is a snowflake, but please tell me if I'm wrong. This afternoon I tidied up the pond and removed any excess plant material I could. I hate to say it, but we could do with some rain next week as only 6.8mm so far in March. I also renewed my camera insurance, which had gone down slightly!!!
