The Gloucester…Norfolk’s Royal Shipwreck 1682

The Gloucester ran aground on a sandbank off Great Yarmouth in 1682 …..it was carrying the future James 11 of England and a young John Churchill future Duke of Marlborough.
Within an hour the ship had sunk , causing many lives to be lost !
