A cutting back sort of afternoon.

Our friend who cuts back our bushes and trees etc came back this afternoon. He was here last Wednesday and finished today. I was talking to him during work in progress and the starkness against the blue sky caught my eye.

My wife was spending time with the wee family when the work was underway. He made a lovely job as aye. Our beech hedge is 0.4m lower, that’s pleasing. His caged tipper truck had a fair load of our cuttings onboard when done.

We went to our other place this evening. Gritters were out on the roads; a cold night ensued. A consequence of that blue cloudless sky earlier.
