Cake

My favorite part of the day came when I walked past the long line of preschoolers all heading down the hallway for dismissal. One little girl was all dressed up with a big smile on her face and a fancy little crown that read "Happy Birthday."

"Is is your birthday?" I asked. She gave me a big smile and said yes. "How exciting! It's my birthday too!" I squealed.  "High five!"

Two beats later the teacher walking with the kids, who was slightly down the line, passed me and said, completely deadpan, "Its not her birthday. She wears that all the time."

Hilarious. Really got a kick out of the whole thing and hope she ends up in my class years from now.
