Tightly-Packed Tuesday
Early morning rise and shine to drop the car off ready for its major service and MOT. On my walk back through the village I stopped for a chat with Jane, who was sitting outside The Exchange with her dogs having breakfast (toast for her, chopped up sausage for them). Back home for 20 minutes before setting out on foot for house group at Christine’s. I brought a pack of Tunnock’s caramel wafers along, which went down well with our mugs of tea. Home again for a quick bit of lunch, then a walk up to the Rectory for the bi-monthly music meeting with Rev Anne-Marie, organist Clive and Jenny to choose the hymns for April and May. We try to keep a balance between old and “new”, the aim being to please all of the people some of the time because tastes in the regular congregation are very wide indeed. I had just got through the front door back at home when the garage called to say my car was ready to collect, so straight back out again to walk up there and pick it up. Plenty of blossom out along the way (pictured). Finally, time for supper and then I drove up to St Luke’s for week #2 of our Lent course on the environment. I would have walked, but I always hear Mum telling me to take the car after dark for my personal safety. Tiptree has a pretty low crime rate, but you never know.
Too late to post at the end of Tuesday, so this is a backblip done late on Wednesday.
