Walking on sunshine

Long day out with the whole family across in the north Lakes today. We went to Castlerigg stone circle, then headed briefly into Keswick before spending a few hours down in Grasmere. Visited the gingerbread shop amongst others. Yum! Our picnic lunch in the park was slightly marred by a very persistent and angry wasp which wouldn't leave the girls alone. But the playground in the park helped them forget all about it. We had a stop off at Rheged Discovery Centre where the girls spent a while in the 'Turrets and Tunnels' outdoor play area and had a look around the shops. Then we went down to Pooley Bridge for a wander round a bit of Ullswater and a little paddle in the lake. On the way home we stopped in Alston for some chips.
Hmm. I'm running out of summer/sunshine themes song titles for my journal!!! That's a good sign though, right?
