A grand day out.

As we knew the weather was going to be good
I’d set the bread maker so we would have some lovely fresh bread for our picnic and we set off to spend the day at the Arboretum and Castle Howard.
After a visit to the squirrel enclosure (still no squirrels) we had a lovely walk ending up at the lake where we sat in glorious sunshine and had lunch.
Next stop Castle Howard - only the grounds open at the moment as the house is being renovated.
Our view today is of the Mausoleum and the New Bridge.
We ended our day with refreshments at the Crown and Cushion.
