The playmobile figures show a scenery in an orphanage in Esslingen in the18th Century. It bases on a drawing respectively engraving of this time. The original was drawn by the 14 year old Tobias Mayer who then was an inmate of the orphanage. He was considered a 'Wunderkind' - a child prodigy. He taught himself mathematics and cartography. He became a professor of mathematics at Göttingen university and was well known for the most exact maps of the world and also of the moon. He died at the age of 39 years of typhus.
