London

Busy day today - meeting my sister K as we had tickets for the Stitch Show at the Design Centre (think Ideal Home but for crafts?). We didn't buy much but had a good mooch around.  We also visited a few shops in Angel and planned another shopping day and a wardrobe overhaul.  I bought a pair of wide legged trousers (seems all there is to chose from now?) and am trying to get my head around the new shape.

OH was playing golf and No.2 was meeting cousin L on the Southbank.  We had been invited for drinks at Aimee's old company (sort of a tribute/memorial but not in a sad way?). Oh my word - what a lovely bunch of people - we were there chatting and laughing and remembering for over three hours and even though Aimee only worked there for about 18 months before she was poorly, they were so kind and thoughtful and genuinely touched by knowing her - not many people can leave that sort of legacy.  They had all signed a book of memories and I am going to sit and read over the weekend.  It made me happy but also sad to reflect on who Aimee was and what we have lost.  I know she is somewhere (hopefully Heaven) looking down and smiling.

We went for dinner afterwards but our go to - Tandoor was fully booked so we went to another restaurant just around the corner.  What a lovely evening (just slightly spoilt by cross words when we got home).
