No Panic
The weather looked reasonable this morning, so having checked on sailing times I decided I would embark on a cruise. A short cruise on a small vessel, and one that did not leave the harbour. There were about eight of us plus the crew of two. At one point we passed under the bows of a ship leaving the harbour, but there was no panic on our boat, the ship was moving very slowly as it manoeuvred slowly between the ships in harbour.
Later on we caught up with this ship again, and were somewhat stuck as there was insufficient space for us to squeeze past. The cruise lasted about 50 minutes. There is a recorded commentary which is quite interesting. Lots of different types of boats in the harbour, including two of the ferries for the Shetlands and numerous oil industry related vessels of different types, including the ship in the photograph which looks as though it is trying to run us down.
Not much sun while we were out, though later on it became quite a bit sunnier. On our return I noticed there were going to be more passengers for the next cruise. The sailing I had chosen was probably to close to lunch time.
