The Old and New

It is heartening to find tradesmen who arrive on the time, work hard, do a good job and leave everything tidy and ship shape. To make matters even better it was someone from the GenZ generation  who restored my faith in humanity. Certainly it was a fairly  minor task needing to be done- painting a ceiling and wall disfigured by a leaking shower in the flat above me 2 years ago.


With my activities out of doors somewhat curbed, I kept myself busy by cleaning the hob even if it didn’t really need it.
What does need cleaning is the oven but there I need professional help. I have been saying that for several years but grudge the money involved.


There are people sitting on the grass on the Meadows while indoors I feel cold as I write this blog. Outside it’s meant to be feeling like 9° and I suspect that is the temperature inside too.


I am looking forward to our Friday TGIF drinks in a little while. It feels ages since I had a conversation with anyone other than a barista or a painter
