The British Museum

A trip to London for the day. Just about as different a day as you can get after yesterday’s calm sunrise cruise on Ullswater.

Train to London went smoothly and I met No 2 son to go luggage shopping for him. All good and successful. We had a good chat about forthcoming nuptials - I don’t think I’ll have a dry eye on the day.

Lunch, mooch at British Museum, ice cream in Russell Sq gardens, and then we walked back to Euston for my train home. We wondered how the trains would fare after Heathrow closure today and ensuing chaos. But, all good as we speed north.
