Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

G&T afternoon…

I had a go today with the 2kg weights. Jings! That was HARD. Also did a few floor exercises. The chemist from the surgery phoned. She's been trying to contact the doctor who saw me at the Pain Clinic, to find out next steps, but she's off for a week. The kind chemist then asked a surgery doctor if it was OK to up the prescription meanwhile. Nice to know somebody's bothered...

We took a walk round the Links in the morning, as usual. We met a wee toddler. Not, that stage before toddler, just crawling, but FAST! Archie was very good and let the wee chap stroke him. His mum was close by to make sure he was gentle.

JR was busy all morning after her gym classes, making a 'healthy' cake to deter me from buying the granola bars in the shop. It was just out of the oven when I came home. Yum yum. Then she was cutting up crudities (usually my job) for this afternoon's visit from a pal down the road. We had G&Ts, with our ginormous tonic ice blocks. In our favourite Harris Gin glasses. A very pleasant way to spend an afternoon.

I took Archie out again while JR cleared up.

Extreme drowsiness took over.

Jammies by 6.30!!
