Sink hole

Ever get that sinking feeling?

This sink hole has appeared on the main road in to the village. Actually it appeared last year and was repaired, three times! It was repaired once and appeared again within a couple of days. After the third repair they came along and resurfaced the whole of the road, something that was much needed. But now the hole has appeared again. Thankfully no cars have been damaged or dropped into in but it is a bit of a worry considering how many times I drive along that road, it is just around the corner from my house. It'll be interesting to see how they approach the repair this time. 

It has been a very productive day, for a day off. I had an Openreach engineer booked between 1 - 6pm to install digital broadband and landline. He arrived at 10.30am and was finished by 12.50pm. 

I had to empty and move a cabinet to give him space. 
That led to a spring clean of all the items before putting them all back. 
As I had to stay in while he worked I:-
Defrosted the freezer
Put the washing machine on
Mended a jacket
Did some filing
Went food shopping after he left
Prepared and cooked 14 meals to restock the freezer

I'm wondering if Superfast Fibre broadband will mean that I will be able to achieve twice as much work? :-)
