Festival: Pure Brass

Every day at the National Museum of Scotland, Live Music Now will feature one of their bands at 12.45pm for free. This fantastic charity supports young talent in Scotland with their careers whilst supporting community projects such as adults with profound learning difficulties or care homes. Their portfolio includes the well know Scottish Folk bands Skerryvore and Manran. This group were 'Pure Brass' where the musicians independently play for chamber orchestras such as BBC SSO. I enjoyed classical music along with their Dixie version of Amazing Grace and ragtime 'Putting on the Ritz'. Old, young, tourists and parents enjoyed this show. The full programme on offer can be found here
