The importance...
....of being able to access all sorts of things in rural areas that people in cities take for granted can't be understated.
That's why the Kyles Community Cinema tries to present a very varied programme which tonight included one of the "National Theatre Live" productions - Oscar Wilde's "The Importance of being Earnest".
We couldn't show one every month, as most subscribing venues do, but the organisers have been very good to us and have allowed us to screen a couple so far and tonight's was very well received as it was when it was running in London.
The contrast between the London venue - the Lyttleton Theatre, part of the National Theatre complex - where it was filmed and the Colintraive Village Hall may be great, but culture,, humour and creative imagination can appreciated and enjoyed no matter the surroundings.
