Flowering cherry
Met my friend (Irish) Jane for a walk and coffee. We had a great catch-up. Recently deceased Eric, stone carver and artistic letterer lived in the same street. We hoped his wife and family were coping.
Jane and I talked about our work career in special needs education settings. I'm retired but Jane has a few more years to go. Its wonderful that we share similar views and life paths despite very different backgrounds.
Back home walked prepared dinner and walked hound.
It's been a mild but unpredictable day. Clouds have looked like a downpour is imminent but light drizzle is all that emerges. The temperature is pleasant enough to sit outdoors with a coat.
I've started watching Adolescence on Netflix. It is totally gripping. The camera shots are very close up when characters are still and follow closely when they are moving. This technique adds intensity as well as characters being silent with a range of expressions and gestures 'speaking' volumes.
When walking the hound yesterday I bumped into a neighbour and we chatted about cinema films and then discussed Adolescence. We both found it compelling viewing. I'd recommend it.
Mr has been coughing and spluttering today so has been laid up. He said he had a temperature and did a covid test which was negative. Hopefully this is just a cold.
Pleasant evening everyone.
