Dinner disaster
Lovely morning and walk to get newspaper.
Packed car and left by ten, such a easy journey, quiet and good weather. Four hours including half an hour stop for lunch.
Cottage was not cold. Unpacked and headed off for our usual first walk up the hill. On the way I spotted a few lamb and said to hubby I want a lamb blip today. I spotted the Dorpers as we headed back towards the village. Not sure that I have seen a Dorper lamb before although the sheep have been here a few years now.
Started cooking dinner and realised I was missing some key ingredients so popped to coop, but they didn’t have them. Decided to do a curry but as I didn’t have any paste hubby popped along to get some and I started cooking. Got to the part where I add the paste to find he had got lime pickle, shop closed by this point. Managed to save the meal by using ground spices instead. It tasted fine, just nothing like what I was planning.
Saturday so an episode of Reacher awaits.
