Pants

Today was literally a pile of pants...

and petticoats, and hats, and waistcoats... a 14.5 hour day sorting out items at the old Museum of Costume, which has closed...

We've moved all the collections already, but we still have lots of handling objects and dressing up items left in situ, so I was sent down there with my pal Katherine to list, photograph, sort and pack the remainder...

There's only so many victorian babies gowns that you can see before you get a bit jaded... The enormous pants and the strange crotchless bloomers at least offered some light relief and the opportunity for smutty innuendo...
