Quick change of pace: our daughter is four days away from the due date of her first child. We will be with her for the next five weeks.

She is predictably stressed — not just by the interminable nine months but at the thought of bringing a baby into the insane situation in the US.

I resent the hell out of the a$$holes pretending to govern for ruining what should be a most exceptional moment in any young woman’s life….
