Sweet Dreams Are Made of This

My husband requested those easy cinnamon rolls out of a can, so I obliged. The puny amount of icing they include is never enough for us, so I made my own cream cheese icing and slathered it on liberally. And who got to lick the beaters? THIS GIRL! Oh, nom!*

We were sitting watching a movie later and my husband was making happy sounds as he devoured cinnamon roll after cinnamon roll. I finally had one myself, heated up for less than half a minute in the microwave, and it was surprisingly amazingly delectable!

Icing recipe: 1/2 container (about 4 oz. total) of cream cheese, 2 cups 10X confectioner sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/2 stick butter (softened). Makes enough to add extra icing to either two or three batches of those cinnamon rolls out of a can. Three if you are a sane person. Two if you are crazy icing lovers such as ourselves.  :-)

*As one of six children, I licked my share of beaters as a child. We had to take turns, though, as there were six of us kids and typically only two beaters per baking project. I would have to say that this icing is mighty fine; however, icing tastes much sweeter when it is washed down with the tears of your enemies, I mean, siblings.   ;-)
