Wooden Water Pipe
Taken on my way to Soc Cafe at Canopy in the old Royal Infirmary. An interesting space as while there is a takeaway coffee shop next to it, you don't need to buy a coffee to sit in the space, making it a rare free-to-use indoor public space. At Soc Cafe we discussed 'Can Britain afford to defend itself?' and 'Can parents alone raise children in the 21st century?'. If you can't read the small sign, the wooden pipe was discovered in George Square and was made by hollowing out an elm tree to help deliver water across the Old Town.
