Saxifrage

On the alpine wall, Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh

It was overcast all day, but the forecast decided it wasn't going to rain after all so I sent J a message and we went out for a wander.  The Campbell Magnolia is putting on a beautiful display while other plants seem unsure whether it is spring or not, with signs of frost on some rhododendron and camellia, as well as some blossom I'd expect out and some which I would have thought would be late April already starting to flower (could well be me rather than the plants though!).
