Fiery red

From a distance I thought the bushes were on fire. But pretty quickly I remembered that it is the Tibetan cherry bushes I see. In its usual state, the mahogany-colored striped bark is spectacular. But even more striking when it sheds bark and you see the underside of the bark. It is fiery red. These two bushes are outside the dining room window of a nursing home. Nice that the residents can see this when they eat.
