In the Allotment

Temperature +7. Sunny, but cold breeze from the East.

We were working in our allotment garden for the first this spring. This is very exceptional time to that, usually our plot is completely snowless only about in the end of April. There wasn't much need to be done, we always do as many jobs as possible ready in the autumn. Today a couple of hours passed by taking things out of winter shelters, cutting roses, fertilizing raspberry and little plant tidying. Nice day.

In the main picture there is one of our insect hotels. This one is hung on the wall of the cottage. There you can see clay pugs made by bees at the openings of the holes to close the holes where they have laid their eggs.

In the extra there are winter aconites (Eranthis), the first spring flowers in our yard  :)
