Day 67. Spontaneity.
Day 67.
Gratitude today for spontaneity.
After taking Niamh back to Glasgow this morning, we decided to go for a spontaneous breakfast in Hyndland. I always love visiting old haunts, although maybe not so much on a Sunday morning and there's a scarcity of parking spaces.
Anyway, we found one (I impressed daughter with my parking!).
We enjoyed a slightly rushed, but enjoyable, hot chocolate and a bacon roll for me, and some kind of coffee thingy with ice for Niamh as she'd had breakfast before we left home.
After dropping Niamh at her work I contemplated the drive home. The roads had been strangely busy for a Sunday morning. I didn't relish the thought of tackling the motorway again, so decided to go cross country via the vet school as it still gives me a wee buzz passing the gates.
Sitting in the car park of Niamh's work looking at Google Maps, I took the chance to message an old friend who I haven't seen this year.
45 minutes later, we were on a dog walk and having a natter.
So, yes, spontaneity. Can make a day shine!
Walked around 3 miles today. It passed in a flash as we blethered.
