Orchids

A visit to Duthie Park winter gardens for us all today. A lovely wander round, as always, and a trip to the cafe afterwards. Grandad got Kara a Twister ice lolly so she was chuffed!

Blip is of a ‘dancing lady orchid’ (or so the iPhone photo identifier thingy tells me). Think I’ll always be drawn to orchids as my Grandad was an expert in them, working for Edinburgh Botanic Gardens studying them in his day.

Dad requested fish and chips for tea. He said Scottish fish and chips are always better than England. The Ashvale in Inverurie proved his theory right so he was pleased. Even if we did get far too many chips for us all!
