Saturday spreading….

A busy but satisfying day.
Once everything was fed , hitched up the dung spreader and set about spreading dung from where the straw feeder was in the spring calving cows. There was enough to finish off the stubble field I had been spreading slurry in this week.
Stopped at lunch time and went and rolled the 20 acres of spring barley that was sown yesterday as the forecast is for rain. Had it finished by 5 pm then back to spreading dung.
Had the job finished by 8 pm so hopefully the contractor can come in and start ploughing tomorrow. It has been a great dry spell this week , but the forecast is for rain to come in overnight .
