Bleurrggh!
I’m not sure whether that word above describes what these tulips are feeling. Our recent visitors brought what looked like two healthy bunches of tulips. As soon as they were handed over I trimmed the stems and got them in water.
Fairly soon afterwards there were signs that things were not quite right. The leaves withered and the stems never regained a straight upright stance. Whether they had been frosted or not I don’t know.
They may not have been as intended but they have still given us colour and interest. And an arty photo.
Bleurrggh sort of describes the weather today too with a cold grey edge returning.
I managed to complete the first draft of the minutes (16 pages 1.5 spacing) so felt better after that. But still reflective on what would have been our father’s 101st birthday. Even with the best of health that age would have been difficult to achieve but it is hard to believe nearly 33 years have gone by since his passing. Despite 23 March having Covid significance it has more personal meaning for me.
So, Bleurrgh!
