Lime Kiln

Believed to be around 17th Century. The remains are to be found at Bossington Beach.

This was the last place L and I visited yesterday. This was after a lovely around Exmoor drive. Our first stop was at Withypool, at the cafe for coffee and cake. Had a short stroll to view the river Barle before continuing to Dulverton, and up to Dunster, where we went on a walk through the town up to the Castle, and continued a circuit around the gardens.

We then drove on to Selworthy, such a pretty place, although the thatched cottages were covered in scaffolding as they were being repainted. But we did call into the cafe there for a toastie and coffee.

Our last port of call was Bossington. where we took a stroll to the pebble beach. We saw pheasants, rabbits and a couple of ponies on route. There a little bit of drizzle in the air so we didn't stay long there. This was where I took todays blip. There were two or three other ruins, but we headed back to the car, L drove us back to Barnstaple after a most enjoyable day.

I checked my step count before going to bed, 15,363 for the day.
