The Space Between Us: A Novel

The image came first, then the search for a title. I haven’t read the book, not yet anyway. The Washington Post review summed it up: “This is a story intimately and compassionately told against the sensuous background of everyday life in Bombay”. I really enjoyed the Indian film set in Mumbai I saw late last year, so maybe it’s time for some contemporary Indian fiction.
