Spanish websites - grrrr....

The plan was to take in the Tumulus de Soto - a hugely impressive chambed tomb - on the way through to Trujillo. We checked the equivalent of our English Heritage website and it was open.  The dirt track access was interesting and even a little chyallenging but worse was that on our arrival, we were met with a sign saying the site was closed, reinforced by a senora appearing to say the same. Frustrating to say the least.
In recompsne perhaps, on driving on towards Trujillo, we spotted signposts to Dolmen de Lacara and followed them.  A very pleasant kilkometre stroll through rolling meadows brought us to it and as cna be seen it is an impressive spot.
Trjillo itslef is a hugely impressive town and our apartment was right in the middle of it. The weather was not kind but we did manage some rather good tapas outside in one of the central square bars.
