Sildpollnes Kirke

We woke up to fairly awful weather and it has gradually deteriorated!
We set out  in our hire car and decided to explore the peninsula to the north of Svolvaer. We soon came to a view point. You had to climb up quite a lot of wooden steps to where there was a 360 degree  view of spectacular scenery. It was blowing a hoolie and lashing rain and sleet at us. Doesn’t really show up in the photo, but it really is a dire day.
This whole area is all about cod fishing. There are racks of drying fish in every tiny fishing hamlet. Including drying fish heads. What on earth do they do with tons of dried fish heads I wonder.
When we headed back we spotted a big sports retail outlet and have managed to get ourselves some grippy things for our shoes which we’ve been needing, they were relatively cheap too!
Might pop out to investigate the local shops in a minute. 
Could be expensive.
