After the rain

I was up very early to be down at the coast for 9 am, a journey of one hour 25 minutes to play a match against Saint Génis les Fontaines. We lost 2-1. I only played the doubles which we lost heavily but I was pleased that I played well. We were playing on indoor clay courts in a brand-new tennis centre which was a treat. We would not have been able to play outdoors as it rained heavily all morning. We received good hospitality and had a lunch of sausages, merguez, rice salad, cheese, rum baba and home-made tiramisu. There was plenty of wine, beer and coffee as well.
